It is always nice to see that someone is listening to you and you can rely on him or her. But is it always so? Do you really always have a dependable person to explain your feelings? We guess that the answer is ‘No’. If it is really so, then keeping diary is exactly what you need. Diary is often a collection of notes, where people can express their feelings and ideas, where they can describe their relations with parents, friends or beloved ones. These kinds of collections usually include individual experience of a person writing and collecting them. Diary helps to form a writer's ego, to develop a different point of view and creativity. Diaries were even kept by famous writers of sentimentalism and romantism.

Diaries are of great importance for people who keep them. Because the diary is a vision of their world seen through the memories eyes and it can reflect either happy and peaceful thoughts and ideas or cruel and sad ones.

Diaries are kept by boys and girls and they have no age limits. They can be used as the autobiography, where you collect all the facts and details of your life, which cannot be forgotten. And for some people diary is a friend. A friend who never lies, never betrays and always understands.

Keeping a diary is a very useful occupation. Thus you can remember any day of your life, plunge into your recollections and assess your actions and thoughts. It is a very nice opportunity to see if you have become mature and more experienced in life. Keeping a diary is a sort of communication between your past and your future. This is something between a dialog and a monolog. This is a dialog, because it is a talk between your past and your present self. At the same time all these selves refer to one and the same person. These notes may seem useless, but in fact they are very useful. We become old and try to remember our lives in detail. Many people write memoirs. Maybe you will also do it. Your notes may become the main material for your memoirs. Memoirs are your final words, you pass on to further generations. If you want your grandchildren to remember you, you must leave something for them, some message or some epistle. This is one of the ways to continue your life after death. You will live in memory of your children and grandchildren. That is why if you are not keeping a diary, start this. This is a very useful occupation.

Diarists and inner self

Diarists are usually people, who have reach and developed inner world. They have a lot feelings and experiences within themselves and they are often reluctant to share these thoughts with the world around them as they are very shy. They don’t even dare to share their thoughts and experience with their close friends and relatives to say nothing about all other people. Diarists usually keep their notes in a very secret place, which is hidden a secure place, because for them it is very important. If somebody reads their notes, it means for them as if they are forced to walk along the street absolutely naked. They entrust their thoughts only to paper, as it won’t criticize them and will never tell these secrets to anyone else. If a diarist is ready to read you his/her notes, it means that he/she has fallen in love with you. Or, maybe, he/she considers you to be his/her best friend.
Diarists are bookworms in the majority of cases, they read many books and can express themselves in polished and refined words and high-brow style. They could turn anybody’s head by their romantic speeches but they lack a very important feature: they are too shy to be able to say what they think. When you read someone’s diary, you understand that appearances are deceptive. Diarists are mainly simple unpretentious and modest-looking people. These first impressions are often deceptive and hide the fact that this person is very delicate and subtle.

Keeping a diary is not a useless occupation for people who lack live communication, which may seem at first sight. This is a very useful pastime in comparison with other types of occupations for young people. Keeping a diary may even make you reach with the lapse of time. You think that it is strange what I am telling you now. How can a person earn money if he/she simply writes down something about him/herself, a sort of information which is unnecessary for the rest of the world? Be patient! I’ll tell you everything step by step.
First of all if you put down your thoughts regularly, you learn to set forth your thoughts logically and correctly. When you read notes you wrote some days before, you can see your mistakes in them, you understand what you had to write in other words. Thus you polish your style and writing skills gradually, step by step, day by day. If you are keeping a diary for rather a long period of time, you master writing skills and as result you may try yourself in the role of a journalist or even a writer. Of course, I don’t think that if you keep a diary, you will be a successful writer or a journalist by all means. It doesn’t also mean that if don’t keep a diary you will never be able to become a writer or a journalist. I only want to say that keeping a diary increases your chances of getting a profession, connected with writing greatly. The secret is very simple. The more you write, the more skillful in writing you become. Just try and you will receive evidence that this is true. If you compare your records, written, for example, a year ago, with those, written recently, you will see that your stile has become more polished and refined. Think about keeping a diary.

Each person has his/her own inner world and each this world is so large and magnificent that it reminds the Universe. Just imagine the amount of pages needed to write down all your thoughts of all your life. Oh, tones of pages, I should say, it is easier to imagine their weight rather than their quantity! Having read these thoughts (though, we must admit, that it is absolutely impossible and the whole human’s life is not enough to cope with this difficult task), we may study the whole epoch in details. All person’s thoughts and intentions are connected with the time he/she lives in. why do I tell you all this stuff? Haven’t you realized yet? This is an introduction to my further thoughts about keeping a diary. Yes, it is impossible to write down all your thoughts, but it is quite possible to write down at least some of them! Some people think that it is a stupid staff and a mere wasting of time, others treat this occupation very seriously and even consider it to be a special sort of hobby and fully devote themselves to this. What do you think about it? As it is impossible to hear your answer at once, let me share my thoughts with you first. As for me, I think that it is very interesting and amusing. Our life is full of different hardships and problems and is sometimes boring or full of strain and so on. We experience a great number of different emotions and don’t always have an opportunity to release them. It often makes us irritable and rude. But we do have a wonderful way for releasing our emotions by means of putting them down on paper. Write about everything you feel during a day and then you will see that this stuff will be very interesting to read with the lapse of time.
